Ability Net

ABILITY NET - Recently we had a visit from Andrew at Ability Net, who came to talk to us about

this project. This activity was set up in the 1970's to support the older and disabled person with

the new IT technology coming on line. This is a national enterprise and Andrew covers the North

West Area. All Ability Net workers are DBS tested and much of their work can be dealt with over

the phone – number 0300 180 0028 or email: getonline@parkinsons.org.uk. There is also a lot of

information on their web site together with instruction leaflets. He explained the many ways that

people can be supported, especially if your fingers and keys don't work together. He is also very

understanding of the mature persons anxiety with this technology. Give it a try and its
